THE STORY

It all started in November 2018, in St. Augustine, Florida. We were invited to be the music directors at the Center for Spiritual Living. The moment we said YES to the gig, new song ideas began flooding in, and they were different. It was like these songs wanted to be sung by many voices. We soon realized they were for the new choir we’d be putting together.

These singers gave their hearts and souls to learning and exploring new music together during our weekly sessions. Most had never sung in public before our first Sunday morning performance, and by the end of a year of singing together we were each forever changed. We were excited to share these songs that so transformed us with the world. So we created The Light Elixir Project.

Also, during this time we were inspired to offer a weekend retreat experience where people could come together to go deeper into the power of resonance, singing and community. We named it Spark Retreat and it centered around creating a song together, in order to awaken to an even greater version of ourselves.

The results were amazing. Not only were the participants all smiles and filled with a new sense of confidence and joy, the songs we created together were profound! It was like we were all taken to a higher place - a place of expansion, and a new kind of empowerment in our individual abilities fueled by the loving support of the group. We all felt this new depth of connection with ourselves, each other, and all of life, beyond our wildest expectations.

3 of the songs on the album were created at Spark Retreat experiences. These include: New Day Dawning, We Are One, and Now I Fly.
